I am a Pretty Good Artist. I have worked professionally since 2006. I have worked on properties like G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, Transformers, and a host of others. You can see my work everywhere, from toy packages to comic books to DVD covers. I currently work for MinoMonsters, where I have…
This 2014 wall calendar features original gory, horrific werewolf art by 12 awesome artists.
Any werewolf fans out there? This project could use support!

People being angry about ~dem gays~ on Target’s Facebook.
I just want to give my two cents on this and tell you a story.
A couple weeks ago, I was hired at Target. I have a job at Target. Not a big deal right?
It is a big deal because i’m a transman.
It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that it’s hard for me, my brothers, and sisters to get a job. There are legal restraints regarding the job and if you don’t pass, it’s hard to be taken seriously at a job interview.
Right on the application, it asks what your preferred name is. It also asks if there is anything that target should know. I put the fact that I am a transman, expecting not to get a call because usually when you put that down, people will throw out the application. I got TWO interviews.
At the interview, they asked me about it. I told them I am on hormones and they told me that they didn’t care. Not in the sense that they don’t emotionally care, but that it didn’t matter. I was male and that’s all that mattered. They also told me that they give sex same couples benefits in states that do not recognize them as a married couple.
At my job orientation, I was not misgendered once. Even my supervisors who weren’t sure of my gender avoided pronoun use, which I found only happens when you’ve had pronoun training. They gave me a name tag with my preferred name and didn’t ask questions. I felt safe and respected, which is huge for a trans* person.
TLDR: Target is amazing not just for the LGB, but also the T. Shop there for the rest of your life.

Everyone who writes werewolf fiction needs to read this.
I try to tell people this shit all the time when they spew their “you have to teach you’re dog that you’re the alpha” crap. That’s all it is, crap, and all you’re doing it hurting your relationship with you dog. You dog doesn’t love you, he’s scared of you.
Anyway, I urge everyone to read this.
And this is pretty much the reason why “Alpha” and “Beta” and all those other words denoting rank have pretty much been purged from my werewolf novel. Sure there are more “dominant” and “subordinate” werewolves but considering the complexity of my characters, I felt that words like “Alpha”, “Beta”, “Gamma”, etc, oversimplified relationships. Especially since a good portion of my novels take place before the terms were coined and in popular use in reference to canids.
I dressed my cat, Sir Didymus, up as Thor, to match my favorite “Thor Cat” print by artist Jenny Parks. The mini-Mjolnir and shoulder-thingies (uh, technical terms) were printed on our PrintrBot Jr. 3D printer.
Although he looks miserable, he was actually fine with the ordeal since I put a lot of catnip on his Mjolnir.
Eee! That’s so awesome. He looks just like him!
An interview I did for the Mein Kat blog, about my illustrations, cats, and other stuff.
Mein Kat is a blog by Michael Cox of Vancouver, who is making a documentary about people and cats. The film is being crowd-funded and could really use your support: http://igg.me/at/meinkat/x/2561769
